Charyl Kay Sedlik
As a young girl growing up in the small, rural, town of Raymond Washington, Charyl Kay (CK) owned and used a rifle. We were always respectful and careful with our guns but certainly used them while hunting in the woods of Pacific County. After working as a Registered Nurse on the east coast, the Sedlik family including husband Earl, daughter Molly, and son Adam, returned to the Northwest where The Upjohn Company hired CK as their first female pharmaceutical representative; retirement came 33 years later in 2007. CK joined Grandmothers Against Gun Violence when it began in 2013. In 2018, as part of the 100th Anniversary of the UW School of Nursing, Charyl Kay was honored as one of the 100 Nurses of Influence. She has served on their Advisory Board for 30 years.
