Stephanie “Stevie” Bravmann
Stevie Bravmann spent her career teaching - from pre-K in Ghana (where she ran a primary school for the children of University faculty), through elementary and high school, and finally with masters and doctoral students, as a Professor of Education at Seattle University. Her very first job was as a high school volunteer working with traumatized young children who were living at Cabrini Green in Chicago; much later she was the Executive Director of an education not-for-profit. She helped to found and administer two schools, served on local school and other organization boards. Throughout her career she consulted with schools and Foundations throughout the Seattle area and was busy with volunteer activities outside of education. She is thrilled to be a grandmother - an “elder” - and have an opportunity to work from that vantage point for a world that is safer for us all. She is beyond smitten with her young grandson.
